Senior PR Manager, Corporate Communications
POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and driving
external public relations strategies and programs that build Autodesk awareness
as a leader in 3D design software with business, technology and trade media and
influencers with a focus on the corporate brand as well as Autodesk horizontal
and platform technologies.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, this individual will
work in partnership with Autodesk Marketing, executives and Autodesk PR to
identify opportunities and generate media coverage of Autodesk's technology and
thought leadership in areas including CAD, SaaS, Cloud Computing, software
development and emerging technologies.
The position requires the ability to understand complex
technologies and the ability to explain them to a general audience. In
addition, experience in developing PR strategies, executing PR programs as part
of integrated marketing campaigns, external agency management and expertise in
media and influencer relations is also required. This position is well
suited to an energetic and proactive individual who is able to function in a
highly matrixed organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and execute corporate/technology PR Plan that leverages Autodesk's
platform and emerging technologies to drive greater awareness of Autodesk with
mainstream, business and IT industry influencers.
• Build, maintain and develop relationships with key media,
analysts and other influencers.
• Drive increased presence of Autodesk technology through
social media channels
• Write and produce a variety of written communications that
support the PR plan including press releases, contributed articles, FAQs,
messaging, speeches, presentations
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry
marketing, company evangelists, and relevant division executives
• Assist in management of external PR agencies and partner with agencies on
development and execution of strategies, tactics and programs that support
overall corporate/technology PR plan
• Collaborate with global PR teams on local execution of corporate/technology
PR programs
REQUIREMENTS:
• 8+ years public relations experience required, preferably
in technology industry
• Four-year college degree (BS or BA), preferably in communications- or
marketing-related discipline.
• Very strong writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence senior management ranks
